He angitūtanga / The opportunity:       

We are looking for an enthusiastic Part-Time Kitchen Assistant to work at our Defence site in Whenuapai, a minimum of 10 hours per week. Hours of work are rostered over a 7 day week, however this does include occasional weekend work.

Ko o kawenga/Your responsibilities:

Kitchen Assistant duties include;

• General food preparation
• Assisting the Chef
• Dishwashing
• Lifting heavy items
• Cleaning equipment, floors, chillers
• Receiving deliveries and unloading 
• General cleaning duties as required

He kōrero mōu/About you:

If you're our ideal candidate, 

• You will be able to hit the ground running, hardworking, with a friendly outgoing personality and a 'can do' attitude.
• You must be willing to work weekends, able to follow instructions, and work to strict time frames.
• A full driver's license is required.
• Ideally you will already have some experience in a similar role and hold a food safety certificate (Unit Standard 167) or be happy to be train for one.
• But most importantly, you will demonstrate a passion for great food, customer service and quality.
